The 8.8 is a C-clip axle, if you break an axle shaft, the only thing holding the axle in is the brake caliper on the rotor, if it happens get side loaded, you now have to replace the broken axle shaft, and a broken rotor or caliper bracket as well. The 8.8 is also a heavy beotch. Same with the Dana 60.

2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 Dashboard & Carbon fiber trim. I was just doing some research regarding the carbon trim and dashboard issues in my '12. My trim has been falling off which I was able to deal with and I even tried fixing my driver side door myself by glueing it however I noticed now that the leather on my dashboard is now coming up

I have a 2014 GC SRT with about 77k miles. Service 4wd message started to come up a couple months back on engine start up, it was intermittent though rarely

I have tried all speeds while coming up on traffic with no warning, beeps, or auto braking. Have tried all settings, checked settings in main menu, with or without speed control, distance setting, lane guidance

KMdef9 - you make a valid point which is how I started my search. I prefer the looks of the WK2 but the rawness and value of the WK1.

So my rig was in the shop today for new rear brakes (TSB - second time) and rear rotors, sunroof fix/software update (3rd time), new steering wheel due to peeling (on order) and the "can't go above 10mph" issue that happened to me the other day. They say I need a new Electronic Shift Module which

Hi Bob, I want to order a 22 GC Summit Reserve…they tell me the limited slip differential is not available because of the chip shortage. Your thoughts on if this is a necessary feature for driving in winter conditions. Also the air suspension system is not available because of the chip shortage. Maybe I should wait until ’23 to see if this chip shortage goes away. I have A 2014 Summit. Thanks. ShysJeep wrote on MrBreeze's profile. Hey man, do you still have the wheels for sale? No wonder they got flexible. I think they're going to have a hard time selling a base SRT8. Without the $3,100 SRT Option Group I package, there are a number of convenience items missing from a $40,000 vehicle. Such as:Sunroof, Air Conditioning ATC with Dual Zone Control,Driver's Automatic-Dimming Exterior MirrorBright Pedals, Deluxe Door Trim Panel, Heated Front SeatsParkSense(TM) Rear Park Assist System, Power Adjustable Pedals with Memory, Power Sunroof, Power Front Seats with Driver Seat Memory, Power Heated Fold-Away Mirrors with Memory, Memory for Radio, Driver Seat and MirrorsRain-Sensitive Windshield Wipers, Front and Rear Side-Curtain Air Bags**, SIRIUS Satellite Digital Radio w/one year free service, SmartBeam(TM) Headlamps, Supplemental Side Air Bags**, UConnect(TM) Hands-Free Communication,If that vehicle is really a base unit, I think that they're going to have trouble moving it.
Alas...the Hemi gods have not yet deemed me worthy...I got a message today from my dealer (AFTER I sent him a message asking about it!) that NOW they think it'll be ready FRIDAY!SIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It appears that there was some alignment problem with the sunroof that they noticed, there was a bent part or something, so they ordered another part, and he thinks it'll be ready for pickup on friday now. I just can't believe this whole for the tips, some good info there - now I just hope I can remember it all on FRIDAY...HOPEFULLY FRIDAY!!!!! and mine is black also - but ours will be out in the parking lot, since they'll have OTHER srt8's on the track for us to trash - ahem, I mean drive... maybe I'll just walk around saying "anyone here post on Edmunds?" Boy, I can't believe this. I'm glad my wife already verified the vehicle is there. And I guess I'm glad they found this before I took it home - though I pray that the sunroof hasn't been leaking all this time......And don't worry, I do plan to honor the breakin period...since it's only 300 miles...though my philosophy is usually to break it in the way it's going to be driven!! But I'll wait this time, I am wondering about the attention factor, do people really notice that it's something different? I have yet to see one on the road myself, believe it or not!! I figured at least when I'm blowing away those kids in the mustang gt's that they'll notice...
